During the Parliament's monsoon session in August 2026, the opposition staged protests demanding answers from Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding a security crackdown on youth during the CJP's 'Chalo Sansad' march. As part of the protest, opposition members raised banners declaring "Amit Shah missing." The opposition has actively demanded accountability from the Union Home Minister over the security actions taken against the youth. Prior to these protests, on August 1, 2026, Home Minister Amit Shah was active in public events, where he presented the Lokmanya Tilak Award to National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, praising him as "fearless" and drawing parallels to Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak's nationalist vision. Additionally, Shah urged the youth to read "Bhagavad Gita Rahasya," stating that Lokmanya Tilak's interpretation helps ordinary citizens imbibe its principles in daily life to avoid mistakes. As of the latest reports, the government's official response to the opposition's demands and the "missing" banners remains pending, and the situation regarding the CJP crackdown controversy in Parliament continues to develop.
